SOLO MADE...THIS is WHO I AM!!!

Around age 9, I started with karate for a very short duration; 4 months. Years later I took up kick boxing at a gym in tacoma, washington.

The gym wouldn't allow me to engage in the ring for sparring for 3 month's till I completed what they set out as my imtroduction...to earn my way in!

1) shin conditioning: 2 times a week.. for 30 minute's. I was to kick an opposing fighter and he kicked me as well. Shin to Shin trading off legs after every kick! Making my shins wooden baseball bats!

2)stretching to do the splits! I would either use the machine that spreads my legs or I would go down as far as I could with a person behind me who would gently apply pressure. Pushing me into the splits. EVENTULLY THE GYM'S "CHAMP" offered to help, and instead of helping me--He slammed me to the ground!

I can permantly do the splits....yet had trouble walking for 3 months .......

3)The water limit! Conditioning-

Notice when I fight I dont drink anything...

Neither before nor during...

I wasn't allowed any fluids at the gym. (For a very good reason)

"When fighting" if I move to the right-the fluids move left..offsetting my balance.

I'm now..used to putting fluid in my mouth and spitting it out during a fight!

I also accumilated plenty

of bagwork, training and footwork.

Once I got into the ring..I never wanted out!

The gym's "Champ" was a payperveiw boxer, a giant samoan, solid, 3 times my size..

He sparred me Full steam for 3 years or so. I would go home twice a week with black eyes, bloody lips, and bloody noses..he punished me!

That's how I learned..

At first I'd turn away, instinctually. "Champ" showed me how painful a move it was by unloading on me. I learned basics, combos, and advanced skills when I couldn't see where the attacks were coming from. STILL, I kept coming back. Didn't stop!!!

That's where solo was forged...

One day Champ Said-"NOT YOU TODAY KID!!! I WANT TO SPAR YOU!!! BEAN POLl..!" to a rather quiet gentalman in the cornor of the gym..

He got in-bell rang!

BEAN POLL JUMPED OFF THE GROUND AND LANDED A FLYING KNEE TO THE CHAMP'S CHEST! LANDED ON THE CANVAS SWUNG AROUND AND EXITED THE RING...

WITHOUT LOOKING BACK.....

SO AFTER SEEING THE CHAMP LOSE TO ONE KNEE...THE SAME CHAMP THAT HAD BEEN WHOOPING ME FOR 3 YEARS..

I CHANGED TO THE BEAN POLL'S STYLE..

MAUY THAI!

ALL OF MY TATTOO'S WERE DONE IN THAILAND. I'VE BEEN IN THE RING THERE BUT I FELL AND EXITED LMAO

I've travled to thailand ruffly 16 time's staying for 3 months each time.

(A) NO I HAVEN'T DRANK IN 6 MONTHS BY CHOICE. SO DEFINITLY NOT WHILE FIGHTING ON STREETBEEFS EVER!

(Q)WHY DOESN'T SOLO BLOCK WITH HIM HANDS UP?

(A) THE SAME REASON> AS a Mauy thai stance

It is baiting exspeted attack funneling in attacks to my stengths.

(A) nope.

And I was tazzed 5 times in one sitting...

(Q) have you been in streetfights?

(A) yes, I didn't start them but defended myself and/or loved one's. The last 4 altercations were with 4 or more people...I didn't loose.

(Q)HOW DID I GET INTO STREETBEEF'S SCRAPYARD?

(A)I MET FIRECHICKEN AT A MUTAL FRIEND'S PARTY, HE HAD MENTIONED HE WAS PLANNING TO START A BACKYARD FIGHTING CLUB. I INTERUPTRD AND I SAID I WOULD LOVE TO BE A PART.. HE DISSMISSED ME DUE TO APPEARANCE..I THEN KICKED OVER HIS HEAD HE SAID HE WAS DEFINTLY IMPRESSED. HE TOOK ME A WEEK LATER TO A CLOSE PARK TO SEE HOW I WOULD MESSURE UP.

AND THUS ....IT BEGAN....

(Q)WHY DOES SOLO SPIN SO MUCH?

(A)BECAUSE IN TRAINING I'M ACCUSTOMED TO SPINNING WITH AN ELBOW TO FOLLOW.

BUT STREETBEEF'S IS AMATURE FIGHTING AND ELBOWS AND KNEES TO THE HEAD ARE NOT PREMITTED.

(Q)do I get paid for my fights on streetbeef scrapyard?

(A) noone is paid to fight, however I have a sponsor who pays me for mentioning his buisness before I fight! -always looking for more sponsors!
